Manifesto
What we believe
Motherhood is the oldest journey on earth, and somehow modern life keeps making it harder to walk. The information is everywhere and nowhere. The care is excellent in pockets and broken at the seams. The technology promises company and delivers anxiety.
Maevicomp exists to be the companion that motherhood deserves — and that mothers, quietly, have been asking for.
We believe a maternal app should be calm, not loud. It should not gamify a heartbeat or guilt-trip a missed log. It should show up when it's needed and step back when it isn't.
We believe in evidence over opinion, and in plain language over jargon. We name things — lochia, mastitis, DVT, pre-eclampsia — because naming reduces fear. We cite our sources because trust is earned in footnotes.
We believe the journey from pregnancy through the first year is one continuous story, not four disconnected apps. Maevicomp carries the antepartum chapter into postpartum, the postpartum into lactation, the medical into the maternal. Continuity is the feature.
We believe a mother should never have to start the story from scratch when she sits across from her OB, her IBCLC, her neonatologist. The platform is built so the care team walks in already informed — and walks out still connected.
We believe in no sign-in barrier. You should be able to open Maevicomp, look around, and trust your own pace. Data starts on your device. It travels only when you decide.
We believe technology can be tender. We design with restraint. We use white space like a deep breath. We pair every alarming word with a calm action. We refuse to confuse anxiety with engagement.
And we believe a brand can be a promise. Ours is in the name: Maevia for the maternal way, comp for the companion who walks it with you.
If you are a mother, an expecting parent, a partner, a clinician, or anyone who has ever held a newborn and felt the weight of it — welcome. We are building this for you.
